JONATHAN SPARKS
I was born in Canada and have been lucky enough to have travelled and lived in some pretty amazing places around the world. I now call London home.
I bought my first SLR camera back in 1998 as a way to document my travels. It has since become a passion. Since then I have had a camera of some sort or another and take one nearly everywhere I go.
After many years of shooting for myself, in 2008 I turned my hobby into a profession and began shooting for others as well. I have shot weddings, architecture, events, and headshots.
Along the way I have learned the power of photography to tell stories. Photographs stop time, giving the viewer a moment to think, to react, to feel, to soak in the details of complicated situations. Part of my job as a photographer to craft that narrative and take the viewer on a journey.
Some of the stories that I have told have won prizes. Some have been published by magazines. Some have been bought by collectors.
